St. Moriz Tanning Mousse Dark

By Amanda - augusti 20, 2017

I've been using about half of this bottle now, and I do like it. I got mine from Boots or Superdrug, but it's available in a lot of places.

I first tried the St. Moriz Fast Self Tan Mousse as I like the quick, express tans more than an 8+ hour one. But as I didn't quite feel that the Fast Tan was dark enough I picked up the longer developing one in Dark.

I had been using St. Tropez tan for a year or two and I kept dismissing the St. Moriz as a cheap knockoff that would probably look orange and bad, but I am happy I tried it because it's absolutely comparable to the more expensive tans. I know now I don't have to spend £25 on a tan when I can spend £5 for basically the same result!

So pumping this out on the mitt it is very foamy and it has a slight green brown color. It applies without problems using my St. Tropez mitt. Spreads out without streaking and has a good guide color. It dries very quickly within just a few minutes which is perfect and there is no transfer at all.I have slept with this on overnight without any issues.

Washing it off it does leave a decent tan. Is it dark in my eyes? No, sadly. None of the tans I've tried that claim "Dark, Ultra dark, Extra dark" etc actually give me a very dark tan. I get a medium tan from this, so nowhere near as dark as I'd expect. As always, the result will vary based on your natural skintone and whatever other factors there may be, so you might get a darker tan out of this product.

This tan wears decently well, I'm pretty lazy with moisturizing and upkeep of the tan so it does settle into dryer areas such as elbows, around my armpits etc. It's also one of those tans that doesn't quite like to stay on my chest, but it's one of the better ones I've tried at least. I do double or even triple coat this on my chest, and sometimes double coat on my legs and arms but the difference in color between one and two coats is very minimal. I think it just feels like I'm darker because I put on extra coats.

I'm still testing all (cruelty free) tans I can get my hands on but for the price of this (£4.99) it's definitely a good product and if I don't find any better I'll definitely repurchase this.

Is this a poor man's St. Tropez? Well, it's more affordable and the result is basically the same, so technically yes but I'm perfectly happy with this over St. Tropez as there will be money over for other things.

I'll definitely recommend this product!
