I've been using Kicks own brand cleansing oil for a while now, I'm on my 2nd bottle and I love it. So after my success with the cleansing oil, I decided to also pick up their new sunscreen. I'm definitely an AB sunscreen convert but I'll still try out western sunscreens in case they get on the same train, and simply testing this on my hand in the store felt closer to AB sunscreens than western ones.
I purchased it at Kicks, obviously. It's 169kr for 50ml. I bought mine with a 25% discount.
It's only SPF 30, which is the lowest amount of SPF I'll wear. I do prefer my sunscreens to be SPF 50.It is quite runny but still has some thickness to it, as I expected.
Spreading it out it definitely feels less greasy than all other western sunscreens I've tried.
Blended in, it does leave a slightly oily feeling, however it is very small compared to most. Perhaps if it had alcohol in it like the Bioré, this could have been a great western sunscreen.
Makeup applies with no problem on top of this. I like to let my sunscreen sit for 5-10 minutes before applying makeup too.
It does not leave a white cast as far as I can tell but I am on the paler side. Only negative I can say about the product is that it makes my eyes water. I don't feel any irritation in my eyes but they will water slightly through the day which is annoying, especially if I'm wearing makeup, but this could be just a personal thing. Perhaps I am sensitive to an ingredient, so look out for that just in case. Because of this I'll probably not repurchase this product as I'm sure I can find something as good or better that won't make my eyes water. Kicks does have a policy where if you're not 100% satisfied with their own brand product, you'll get money back which is great.
If you live in any of the countries Kicks ship to and are looking for an SPF 30 with minimal greasy feeling I would try this out. If you don't get watery eyes, awesome! For me I'll pass and try something else. But overall I definitely recommend this product.
