Selfie Tan'n Go 1 Hour Express Bronzing Mousse Super Dark Tan

By Amanda - augusti 27, 2017

I purchased this tan from Tkmaxx for £5 (£8 with shipping) after the disappointment of Bondi Sands. I had never heard of this brand before and didn't find any other retailer selling this, but when I came back to Sweden about a week after getting this tan, I saw it on kicks.se, but insanely marked up (349sek, ~£33!!).

The tan comes with its own mitt but it has that velvet feel which I greatly dislike, I prefer the more sponge material mitts from St Tropez and St Moriz. So to apply this I used my St Moriz mitt instead.

First pump - the color is a very dark, reddish brown rather than the typical green brown. This tan has the absolute darkest guide color I've ever seen, so I was quite excited, maybe this tan would actually be "super dark" like it claims for once!

I applied this and was very happy because it dried really fast and did not transfer at all.

It said to leave on for 5 hours for "super tan" shade so that's what I did. (I've used this tan 3 times now, leaving it on for 5 hours each time. If there is a next time, I'll try to leave it on for much longer.)

Washing the tan off, it felt like almost all of it disappeared and I was left with a light tan. Because of the super dark color guard I expected it to be darker than other tans but sadly that's not the case at all :( I was so disappointed. You can see no difference in the before and after photo.

I've worn this tan three times for about a week each time and it has stayed on pretty good, even if the color sucks. It's one of the better ones in terms of staying power because it hasn't gone patchy or stuck to dry spots like most of my other tans do. It has certainly faded but it's faded pretty evenly.

Overall I am disappointed but for the price it's whatever. I will not repurchase because it's nowhere near as dark as I want my tan and I think the St. Moriz tan performs much better for a similar price.
